Measuring Equivalents

Packets

Use this simple conversion to replace fresh lemon, lime or orange juice with True Lemon, True Lime or True Orange packets in your beverages:

1 packet
= the taste of one medium lemon, lime or orange wedge

Use this simple conversion to replace fresh lemon, lime or orange juice when cooking and baking with True Lemon, True Lime or True Orange packets:

2 packets   = 1 tablespoon of lemon, lime or orange juice*
6 packets  = The juice of one medium lemon, lime or orange*
8 packets  = 1/4 cup of lemon, lime or orange juice*

*In some recipes, it may be necessary or desirable to add an equivalent amount of water to replace the moisture the lemon, lime or orange juice provides. In these instances, add both the appropriate number of True Lemon, True Lime or True Orange packets and the necessary amount of water.  Example: if a cake recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, use 4 packets of True Lemon and 2 tablespoons of water.

Shakers

Use these simple conversions to replace lemon, lime or orange juice when cooking and baking with True Citrus shakers:

1/2 teaspoon  = 1 tablespoon lemon, lime or orange juice*
1 teaspoon  = 2 tablespoons lemon, lime or orange juice*
2 teaspoons  = 1/4 cup of lemon, lime or orange juice*
4 teaspoons  = 1/2 cup of lemon, lime or orange juice*
8 teaspoons  = 1 cup of lemon, lime or orange juice*
* Add water if needed.

I need to make my lemon pot roast with true lemon. Please supply how much True Lemon is equal to the juice of one lemon. I usually use 5-6 lemons for this recipe, and don't know how to figure out how muuch TrueLemon to use.

Please fix the typos in the 2 teaspoons and 4 teaspoons so we can understand what you mean ;-oD

If I read the above conversions correctly, each packet has 1/4 teaspoon of true lemon, lime or orange? It helps to know how much is each package when your online recipes don't have the amount of each but how many packets to use. I have the shakers for true lemon and lime.

Would it be possible to add a Packet to Shaker equivalent chart? Many of the recipes I see on here refer to a number of packets and I primarily use the shakers. I know you can go from one chart and convert to how much juice it equals, then go to the next chart and find that much juice and see how much it is in the shaker. But it would be soooo much easier if there was just another chart that converted measures for your own products. Or as an alternative, in the recipes themselves put both the packet amount and the shaker amount.
