Apple Crumb Pie with a True Lemon Crust

True Lemon brings out the sweetness in this mouthwatering traditional apple pie.Ingredients
crust:
3/4 cup shortening
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg yolk
1/4 cup cold milk
2 packets True Lemon

filling:
5 cups apples, thinly sliced
4 packets True Lemon
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon allspice
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
topping:
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup rolled oats
1 packet True Lemon
1/2 cup unsalted (cold) butter
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup rolled oats
1 packet True Lemon
1/2 cup unsalted (cold) butter
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Crust: in a small bowl, cut shortening into flour, sugar and salt until the mixture looks like cornmeal or small peas.
3. In another bowl, beat egg yolk slightly and combine with milk and True Lemon.
4. Add to flour mixture and mix by hand until it forms a ball.
5. Divide dough in half and store one crust in refrigerator in plastic wrap for later or make 2 pies.
6. Roll out dough on a well-floured surface to fit a 9-inch pie plate.
7. Filling: in a large bowl, combine apples, flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and True Lemon. Pour into prepared pie shell and dot with butter.
8. Topping: combine flour, cinnamon, brown sugar, rolled oats, True Lemon and butter. Sprinkle evenly over filling mixture.
9. Bake in 375 degree oven for 45-60 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are bubbly.
